Training and Capacity Building

One of the main missions of the International Center for Environmentaln Technologies of Tunis (CITET) is the development and strengthening of the human capacities of Tunisia and the countries of the region in the field of sustainable environmental management.

Through the Department of Training and Capacity Building (DFRC), CITET has embarked in a dynamic of training offers by offering a full range of topics and modules in order to build environmental actors’ capacities and support the sustainable development strategy at national, regional and international levels.

  Pedagogical approach:

Our courses are designed to alternate between theoretical and practical trainings by integrating role play situations, practical exercises on real-life cases and examples from field experience to provide a comprehensive example of the topics covered. Technical visits to demonstration sites are organized when required. Each training workshop benefits -upstream- from a specific and individualized preparation and -downstream- from an assessment of the participants and trainers.
The process of assessing the achievements of participants follows these steps:

- Preliminary assessment of participants’ prerequisites;

- On-the-spot evaluation of acquired knowledge through a multiplechoice question (MCQ) available at the end of the training;

- Delayed assessment of participants’ acquired knowledge.

Logistic means:

- A very calm and green working environment favorable for assimilation of knowledge;

- Modern training rooms equipped with necessary computer, teaching and audio-visual equipment;

- A 400-seat amphitheater set up for large-scale events.

Certification and international recognition

CITET training activity is certified according to an international standard, the ISO 9001 standard, to ensure continuous improvement of our services and an increased partners satisfaction.

Furthermore, CITET has been selected by IAIA as a reference center, in Tunisia, Africa and Arab and Mediterranean regions, to training in the field of environmental protection and sustainable management of natural resources.

Eligibility of our TFP training

As a public training center specialized in the field of the environment (Law 96-25 of 25/03/1996), all our courses are eligible for the TFP (Vocational Training Tax); and thus, the costs claimed are deductible for TFP credit in accordance with the conditions and limits provided for in the rules in force.

At the end of each training session, each sponsor receives a TFP file containing the attendance sheet, the trainer’s certified CV and the training program, according to the requirements of the CNFCPP.
